------ ideas and observations
on cross-cultural
communication on the telephone
In this blog , I would
like to talk about cross-cultural communication from reading the business article. In
addition, a five-part presentation on cross-cultural communication consists of
a discussion of cultural differences in interpersonal communication and an
article from a every country-language publication concerning telephone use
skills in a foreign country. Cultural differences in communication are divided
into when to talk, what to say, pacing and pausing, the art of listening, intonation, what is
conventional and what is not in a language,
degree of indirectness and cohesion and coherence.
Examples of these observations about communications
skills. It is concluded that cross-cultural communication presents a
double-bind: the need to be connected to others and the need not to be imposed
upon and that, in certain cultural situations, individuals must compromise
these needs in order to communicate.
An analogy is made between cross-cultural communication
and a route on which someone has turned the signs around: the familiar
signposts are there, but they don't lead in the right direction. we can find
that the format in Communications of
business have a lot. Which come from many countries. we can choose how we can
communicate in that particular situation as a creatively and body mindfully as
possible to generate new possibilities for our relationships instead of
reacting according our cultural programming
However, in the
matter of conversation in the current. I think that it is something that should
make it correct and polite because it was considered as a unique important for
each the country. Although I could not have articulated this
belief as I was growing up, I believed a “good communicator” was someone who
was articulate, clear, and talked a lot.
I developed the conviction that what we need in order to communicate
skillfully is something I came to term “body mindfulness,” an integral approach
to becoming aware of and adjusting our inner state.
